Cold temperatures return Friday, will stick around for weekend
Highs in mid 50s
DETROIT – We are seeing plenty of 30's on the temperature maps this morning with some Detroit suburbs down near freezing early Friday.
Skies are mostly clear to partly cloudy and will be filling in later this afternoon. Highs today around SE Michigan will struggle mainly in the mid 50s and only warmer if we hang on to the sun for a while in the afternoon. Winds will be on the cooler side NW 5-10 mph.
Radar shows a couple of waves of rain trying to move our way. Don't worry too much about wet weather today as we only expect a few sprinkles or light showers scattered this afternoon. There's a better chance for more moderate and widespread rain later tonight around 9 or 10 p.m.
Sunday looks like the better of the two weekend days because periods of rain showers are possible Saturday. Thicker clouds and north winds will be keeping temperatures in the mid 50s.
Sunday will be our better chance for the sun coming back trying to help temps rebound into the low 60s. Temps take off again next week.
