Mostly cloudy Thursday, temps to hit 80s

Scattered afternoon showers possible

DETROIT – A little patchy fog early Thursday, otherwise mostly cloudy and mild to start your day.

Skies will stay partly to mostly cloudy all day with some sunshine coming and going.

A bit of sun and warm winds SW 7-12 mph will bring temps to the low 80s across Metro Detroit this afternoon. That warmer air is ahead of a cold front moving through later this evening. That front will try to bring a few scattered afternoon showers, but don't cancel your plans.

A clearing pattern will follow a few early morning showers Friday.

Friday will be mostly sunny and cooler with highs in the low to mid 70s. And, nice weather is setting up for Father's Day Weekend. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday all look mostly sunny and dry although one computer model holds onto a few showers early Friday before clearing.

Highs will climb back closer to 80-85° on Dad's Day. One computer model brings rain in late Sunday, but Monday and Tuesday look like better chances for wet weather.
