Warm start to the week with changes coming

Storm chances Tuesday

DETROIT – A warm start with mostly cloudy skies early on this Monday with temps in the low 60s to low 70s as you first walk outside.

But, the rain and storms are elsewhere and that should be the pattern for most of today.

High temps will climb into the mid 80s and a bit muggy with mostly cloudy skies turning partly to mostly sunny.

An approaching cold front will bring a slight chance for widely scattered rain and thunder in the afternoon, but don't expect too much wet weather.

The storm activity picks up Tuesday as most of SE Michigan has been placed under a slight risk for Severe Weather tomorrow.

Highs will climb into the mid to upper 80s close to 90° and that afternoon heat will help spark a few strong to severe storms so keep your eyes to the skies.

We have more stormy weather Wednesday and Thursday with summer-like high temps in the 80s and periods of stormy weather coming and going most of the week.

Early indications and model date point to scattered storms all the way through the upcoming weekend and into next week.

Don't plan on a whole week of rain ahead, but it will be touch and go. Get your complete 7 Day forecast on clickondetroit.com and on the Weather links:
