DETROIT – The cool overnight trend continues as we again wake up with temps in the 40s in many suburbs.
And, low to mid 50 degree temps will greet you closer to Detroit.
It will be a bit warmer this afternoon with more comfortable weather on your Friday as highs hit closer to 78 to 80 degrees.
Clear skies early becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon warmth with winds SW 7-12 mph.
A few storms are on the way early Saturday and The Storm Prediction Center has placed extreme southern SE Lower Michigan in a slight risk for severe storms on Saturday.
Expect a period of heavy rain and thunder around sunrise tomorrow and a few scattered showers and storms into the afternoon with highs in the low 80s.
It will not be a weekend washout, but we'll have scattered storms again late Sunday and again some of them may be strong to severe.
