Wednesday will be cooler, dry in Metro Detroit

Highs in upper 70s

DETROIT – A much different day in store today. Thousands are still without power from the strong storms that moved through Tuesday afternoon and evening. The cold front that brought the wild weather has pushed through to the east and we will feel the cool down.

It will be a dry day for most of us all day. Radar shows a few lingering showers early Wednesday coming out of Wisconsin but most of that rain will dry up after crossing Lake Michigan. The track may bring a few showers to our far western and northern counties. We'll see highs in the upper 70s today with winds NNE 5-10 mph.

Thursday will be gorgeous with lows in the 50s and highs again only in the mid to upper 70s. Sun and clouds will cross the SE Michigan skies tomorrow. A few showers are possible late in the day or evening so stay tuned.

Expect scattered rain and thundershowers Friday morning and again in the late afternoon. It will warm up back into the low 80s with enough midday sun. Unfortunately, we're still tracking spotty rain and thundershowers coming and going all through the Labor Day Weekend.

Right now, it looks like Saturday night and early Sunday could be the wettest part of the weekend ahead. Get your complete 7 Day forecast on ClickOnDetroit.com and on the Weather links:
