Some sun Friday, but still cool

DETROIT – The fall feeling continues Friday for Detroit and Southeast Michigan. Fortunately there will be sunshine over the weekend after some rain late Friday night and Saturday morning.

Friday morning will be chilly with clouds overhead. Temperatures for early-risers exercising, going to the bus stop, or driving to work will be in the 40s and low 50s. Students and workers will need their jackets to stay warm.

Friday afternoon will be partly to mostly cloudy and much cooler than average with high temperatures in the low and middle 60s. This is still 5 to 10 degrees below average for this time of year.

Friday evening will be cloudy with rain on the horizon and temperatures in the 50s.

The next chance of rain returns Friday night into Saturday morning with an overnight lows in the low and middle 50s.

Saturday will start off wet, but the day will not be a wash-out. Showers will move away by Saturday afternoon as jacket-weather remains in effect with highs in the low 60s.

Sunshine returns for the second half of the weekend on Sunday. The brighter weather means higher temperatures for this day and early next week. Highs on Sunday will be in the middle 60s. Monday and Tuesday will have more sunshine with mild or conditions and highs in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees.
