Temperatures plummet Saturday night

Lows in 40s, 30s possible in northern, western suburbs

DETROIT – Saturday night will be partly cloudy and colder. Temperatures will fall to the 40s in downtown Detroit but it could be in the 30s in many northern and western suburbs.

The record low Sunday morning is 37 degrees, set back in 1975.

Sunday will get a bit milder after a cold start. Skies will be mostly sunny, and afternoon temps will be near 65 degrees. A few showers return Monday with highs in the middle 60s. More sunshine returns the middle of next week with highs in the middle then upper 60s.
