Cold with some sunshine Thursday

Highs in mid 30s

DETROIT – A chilly start to your Thursday with upper teens to low 20s and still a steady breeze. So, it will feel like lower teens around Metro Detroit as you step outside and cooler single digits in the outer suburbs.

Skies will be clear for a good part of the day, especially early on. The storm that has been lingering in the NE United States is moving backwards and bringing heavy snow to the Toronto area today. We'll see residual clouds on the east side into the afternoon with highs in the mid 30s as winds continue from the West 10-20 m.p.h. at times.

Friday into the weekend looks very mild and warmer by the day. Friday will struggle to hit 40 degrees with dry conditions and that will be the trend moving forward.

We will see low 40s Saturday and may land near 50 degrees on Sunday. Clouds will be a bit more plentiful towards the end of the weekend but we should hold off any wet weather until early next week.
