Sun and clouds, cold temperatures on Wednesday

Snow possible Thursday

DETROIT – Once again, morning temps are bitter cold in the single digits outside of Detroit city limits feeling even colder with a light breeze.

We will start to slowly climb into the upper 20s to near 30 degrees with sunshine early today and high clouds filling in later this afternoon.

But, conditions are dry today as we watch a tricky clipper moving in for Thursday.

Snow showers may mix with sleet and freezing rain early Thursday.

Travel Advisories are already posted to our west for tomorrow due to the threat of ice on the roads.

High temps may briefly hit the mid 30s which could switch light snow into a wintry mix through the morning and afternoon.

But we expect light snow to take over through your Thursday afternoon.

Most model data is hinting at about an inch of snow later tomorrow, but if it stays all snow all day, we may see a couple of inches

We'll get back to chilly temps Friday and Saturday but both days are dry in the teens and low 20s.

Super Bowl Sunday looks snowy around SE Lower Michigan.
