Light snow showers across metro Detroit today

Highs in the low 30s

DETROIT – Snow showers are very hit and miss this morning. And we don't expect a ton of snow today as very light snow will be on and off through Metro Detroit later this morning and especially this afternoon. Again, no accumulation concerns with this and timing is good missing the morning commute and hopefully wrapping up before the evening commute. Highs will be nice in the low 30s and winds SE become SW 5-15 m.p.h.

Thursday will be very cold and windy. We will likely see scattered lake effect snow showers as the blustery conditions take shape. This arctic blast will drop wind chills at or below zero most of the day.

We have another snow chance starting late Friday and on Saturday… Valentine's Day. We could see a couple of inches in spots to start the weekend.
