More storms possible this evening in metro Detroit

UPDATE: A Severe Thunderstorm Warning for St. Clair County has been canceled.

The storm which prompted the warning has moved out of the area.

Southeast Michigan remains under Marginal Risk for Severe Weather today, as a couple of storms could produce a heavy downpour and gusty winds. Most of us won't see that. Just keep your eyes to the skies as we steam up today.

Don't cancel your BBQ and pool plans but know there could be a few rain delays.

A warm front has moved through and we expect our temps to warm into the 80 degree range even with clouds and periods of hazy sun. If we get a window of sunshine for a bit this afternoon, temps could warm into the mid 80s as many local pools are now open. It's not a great hair day… winds are whipping SSW 10-20 mph gusting to near 30 mph at times and humidity is on the rise. Watch out for scattered rain and thundershowers to start popping by mid to late afternoon as we heat up.

Afternoon heat tomorrow afternoon will lead to more scattered showers and storms Tuesday. Highs will be near 80 degrees and the first half of the day should be dry according to our model data. The heaviest of the rain over the next few days will be with the scattered activity Tuesday into early Wednesday.
