Showers move in ahead of fireworks Monday

DETROIT – Sunday night will be warm with lows in the middle 60s.

Monday is the day of the 2015 Ford Fireworks. Many families set up on Belle Isle, in Windsor or Hart Plaza. During the day, skies will be partly sunny with another low pressure system getting the bead on Southeast Michigan. It will bring afternoon showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. as high temps reach the low and middle 80s. People will have to make sure their lawn chairs, barbeque items and blankets don't blow away or get wet.

The chance of showers and storms remains the night of the Ford Fireworks. They will be scattered enough where there remains a good shot of Detroit being spared from any rain.

Stay tuned to Local 4 for my latest forecast. I'll be tracking any storms all day with 4 Live Radar. Detroiters can do the same thing with the Local4Casters app.
