Cooler air on the way for the weekend

Highs in the upper 60s Friday

DETROIT – Another cold front is blowing through SE Lower Michigan this Friday morning and most of the rain with that front is south into Indiana and Ohio. Still, there's a chance for a few showers today. We will see an isolated shower early this morning as the front moves through meaning only a few of us will see rain. The better chance is a quick shower later this midday and again, many of us won't see much in the way of wet weather. The bigger story is the cool down as we hang in the 60s most of the day with a shot at 70 degrees under mostly cloudy skies. Winds are cooler NNW 5-12 mph.

Saturday and Sunday will be cooler with lows in the 40s and 50s and highs only in the mid 60s. We could see a few light showers Saturday afternoon as we turn breezy and cool. The best chances will be north into The Thumb Region and on the east side for a very light rain shower tomorrow. Skies will stay mostly sunny to partly sunny with winds NNW 5-15 mph.

Sunday looks partly to mostly sunny and cool again. Most of Michigan will wake up to 40s Sunday and warm only into the mid and upper 60s with more and more sunshine. Things warm up slowly starting Monday and we should be back in the upper 70s by Tuesday or Wednesday. We'll keep an eye on weekend rain chances as we get more data and closer to your weekend.
