Terrific Tuesday with temps in the 80s

DETROIT – Tuesday started out in the upper 50s and low 60s but we'll warm up through the afternoon as cloudy skies give way to sun.

Highs today near 80 degrees under mostly sunny afternoon skies and light winds SW 5-13 mph.

We are in a nice summery stretch warming into the low 80s for the next few days.

Wednesday and Thursday look very similar with highs hitting the low 80s under mostly sunny skies.

We certainly have a shot at mid 80s in some of your neighborhoods midweek and overnight lows in the upper 50s to low 60s. More good news… humidity levels will be on the lower side considering how warm it will be all week.

Scattered rain and thundershowers will blow in Friday afternoon but not before we hit 80 degrees again.

New model data this morning show a more impressive wave of wet weather moving over SE Lower Michigan and Southern Ontario on Saturday.

Weekend temps will drop into the 70s Saturday with any breaks from the rain and upper 60s with more sun expected Sunday.  To stay ahead of the late week and weekend showers and storms, get the FREE Local4Casters Weather and Storm Pins apps to stay ahead of the summer storms.
