Highs in the low 80s

DETROIT – Temps in the upper 50s to low 60s as you head out with more sunshine on tap for your Wednesday. Today's highs will be in the low 80s under mostly sunny skies and light winds SSE 5-10 mph. We certainly have a shot at mid 80s in some of your neighborhoods today and tomorrow.

Thursday will look a lot like today with dry and warm weather watching our afternoons soar into the 80s with tons of sun. There will be stormy weather on the radar map late in the week but Thursday storms will be west and north of SE Lower Michigan and Southern Ontario.

Scattered rain and thundershowers are possible midday Friday, but heavier storms will blow in Friday afternoon and evening. If the wet weather holds off until later in the day, we may see 80 degrees again. Look for scattered showers and storms Friday to become heavier, more widespread, and longer lasting Saturday. Weekend temps will drop into the 60s and 70s and 50s and 60s Sunday. We should see Sunday sun trying to warm us again heading into next week.  To stay ahead of the late week and weekend showers and storms, get the FREE Local4Casters Weather and Storm Pins apps to stay ahead of the summer storms.
