Beautiful weather sticks around one more day

Highs in the mid 80s Thursday

DETROIT – Our beautiful weather pattern will hold on for one more day today as sunshine brings high temps into the low and mid 80s. There will be scattered showers and storms moving into Western and Northern Michigan tonight ahead of a cool front moving our way tomorrow. But again, Metro Detroit is high and dry Thursday.

Scattered rain and thundershowers are likely on and off Friday, starting in the morning and more likely later in the day. So tomorrow will not be an all-day soaker but we may see a few stronger storms develop with the 80 degree heat Friday afternoon. Again, scattered rain and thunderstorms tomorrow with our last shot at 80 degrees for a while.

Weekend temps will drop into the 60s and 70s Saturday with periods of heavy rain and thunder. The timing is bad but the rain is much needed so we need to try and appreciate a wet start to the weekend. Skies clear late Saturday and temps drop into the 50s and 60s Sunday. We should see Sunday sun trying to warm us again as we see a lot of 70s heading into next week.  To stay ahead of the late week and weekend showers and storms, get the FREE Local4Casters Weather and Storm Pins apps to stay ahead of the summer storms.
