More sunshine and warmth after a chilly night

Lows in the 40s

DETROIT – 2015'S final summer Sunday night will be beautiful and become chilly. Warm weather returns to Detroit this week with more sunshine.

Sunday night will become mostly clear and chilly. Overnight lows will be in the upper 40s in the city and in the middle and low 40s in Detroit's suburbs.

Monday will be mostly sunny, gorgeous and mild. Highs will be in the low to middle 70s.

Yom Kippur is on Tuesday and Wednesday. Sunset is between 7:25pm ET and 7:31pm each day. While the sun is out, it will warm Southeast Michigan neighborhoods nicely. Under mostly blue skies, afternoon temps will be in the middle 70s.

Autumn begins at 4:20am ET, Wednesday, September 23.

Eid al-Adha is Thursday.

Thursday and Friday remain dry and warm. Highs in Thursday will be in the upper 70s and in the low 70s on Friday.

More sunshine returns for the weekend, including Sunday afternoon before Sunday Night Football at Ford Field and on Local 4.
