Tuesday is the final full day of summer and it will be nice
DETROIT – Sunshine and light variable winds today bring highs into the mid 70s.
Those winds are mainly NNE 5-10 mph keeping east siders a degree or two cooler, but the sun will make up for that warming all of us equally.
Fog will likely be thicker and more widespread Wednesday and Thursday mornings. But again, once the fog lifts we see plenty of sunshine all week long.
Most of Metro Detroit will slide into the upper 70s Thursday and Friday with no threat for rain anywhere in sight.
A dry cool front brings only a slight cool down this weekend without any rain or storms. Low 50s to low and mid 70s all weekend with more sunshine and the pattern is starting to wear thin. We are falling behind in the rain bucket so you may want to do some watering in the yard this week.
It may be the middle of next week before we get a legitimate shot of rain.
One thing model data is considering is a bit of tropical moisture sneaking in here by Monday but it doesn't look promising.
Again right now, a cold front next Wednesday or Thursday is our best rain chance ahead.
