Local 4Casters: Drier, cloudier Sunday afternoon ahead

Lows in mid-40s Monday morning

DETROIT – Sunday will slowly become drier with higher temperatures, but it will still feel like late autumn instead of early autumn. More spring-like temperatures will arrive during the week.

Sunday afternoon will be mostly cloudy and a bit drier. Temps will approach 60 degrees and Motown will make it above 60 if enough sunshine peeks through the clouds.

Sunday evening will become partly cloudy and chilly, with temps falling into the low 50s by midnight. Sunday night will be fair with lighter winds.

Lows will plummet into the low and middle 40s by Monday morning.

Hurricane Joaquin will remain a dangerous storm and approach the western side of Bermuda by the end of Sunday and the start of Monday. It will never hit the U.S. directly, but Bermuda and ships must remain alert.

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will become sunnier and milder in the Motor City region. Monday will be mostly cloudy to partly sunny with highs in the mid and upper 60s. Afternoon temps will approach 70 degrees Tuesday and Wednesday with mostly sunny skies.
