Morning fog and drizzle Tuesday

DETROIT – Morning fog and a few areas of drizzle around Metro Detroit as you head out on this Tuesday.

That fog will once again be thickest in rural areas farther from the City and will linger until 9 or 10am.

After that we stay only mostly cloudy to partly sunny. We will see more and more clearing later in the afternoon and evening.

So with the clouds, it will be tougher for us to take a shot at 70 degrees again. Highs today in the upper 60s and winds NE shifting NW and then West 5-10 mph.

Morning fog may be a minor issue in the burbs again Wednesday, but more and more sunshine midweek. So highs tomorrow will be around 70 degrees if not a bit warmer and light winds W 5-10 mph. That will be the same forecast for your Thursday. Late Thursday, we will see increasing high clouds ahead of a Friday rain maker.

Rain showers will be moving through Metro Detroit early Friday and should be clearing through the early afternoon. We need the rain but it may slow down our Friday morning commute. The cool front bringing the rain brings cooler temps with highs only in the low 60s and falling with breezy conditions. Rain and temperature drops late this week and we want you to get the FREE Local4Casters Weather and Storm Pins apps to stay ahead of any storms.
