Cool start with heavy rain on the way

DETROIT – Mostly cloudy skies for most of the day today but those clouds are keeping temps from freezing.

Low 40s will greet you as you head out and with only peeks of sun, highs will try and hit that 60 degree again.

An overcast afternoon will have be the deciding factor. Winds will pick up a bit tomorrow ENE 5-15mph pouring dry air and keeping the rain just to our south all day. Showers move in later tonight.

Rain showers and gusty winds will be heavy at times late tonight and into early Wednesday making the early drive very tricky tomorrow. This storm has remnants of Hurricane Patricia and has the potential of over an inch of fresh rain over a short period leading to localized flooding possibilities. Temps will get into the low 60s during the rain event as showers get lighter in the afternoon and winds SSE 10-25 mph with higher gusts.

Cooler temps pour in Thursday with a few scattered showers and windy. Not the greatest of days either as highs stop around 50 degrees. Friday looks dry but new model data hints at a few showers as we head into the Halloween Weekend. Saturday will be mild in the mid to low 50s falling into the 40s for Trick-or-Treating.
