Wind and rain in the works Friday (and snow!)

Highs in the mid 40s

DETROIT –  Happy Friday!

We got through the worst of it, but we will be windy again and cooler today.  Cooler winds shift to the NW 15-25 mph gusting near 35-40 mph at times.  Lake effect showers will come in as rain and snow with little to no accumulation expected.

The radar shows mainly light rain and drizzle early this morning in spots, with greater chances of rain and wet snowflakes mixing in through the late morning and afternoon.

Temps won't move very much staying in the low to mid 40s, feeling much cooler with the wind turned up all day.

Weather does improve this weekend but Saturday morning will still be a bit breezy and cold. Temps in the low 30s feeling like the 20s if you're out and about early tomorrow. Those Saturday temps only rebound into the upper 40s with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. Sunday will be very nice with highs soaring into the mid and upper 50s with tons of Sunday sun.

It's a pretty dry 7 Day forecast ahead with a chance for a few showers late Monday, early Tuesday and then again on Thursday. The good news is temps near 60 degrees Sunday through Thursday.
