Another chance at 60 degrees Tuesday

Rain possible later

DETROIT – Even with a bit of overcast, highs will take a shot at 60 degrees again. We will see rain trying to stream in this afternoon but our dome of dry air should block the first wave. Expect light showers in the late afternoon or evening moving south to north quickly making for a short lived rain event late in the day. Winds start to pick up later this afternoon SE 7-15 mph gusting a bit stronger from time to time.

Wednesday will be a wet one with a better chance of more widespread rain coverage around SE Lower Michigan and Southern Ontario. A cold front will approach in the afternoon but not before temps surge into the 60s on your Hump Day. Rain showers will be accompanied by breezy conditions late in the day SE 15-25 mph.

That cold front will move through heading into Thursday dropping temps for the end of our week and weekend. Get ready for another stretch of windy weather too. This starts Wednesday but will likely last all the way through the weekend with a number of weather systems moving in. Thursday and Friday look cool and dry in the 50s Thursday and only 30s and 40s Friday with a few more clouds.

We will see our first potential snow event Saturday. This will likely be a wintry mix switching to all wet snowflakes for a period with some minor accumulation in spots. It's the kind of snow that could stick to grassy surfaces and make driving around Saturday very difficult.
