Weekend weather will include temps in 60s for some in metro Detroit
DETROIT – What a weekend ahead!
Even though we'll be dodging a few light showers at times, I think the temps will make up for it.
Tonight, clouds continue to increase, leading to a few sprinkles after midnight. Temperatures should hit their low point, in the mid 40s, about the time rain arrives. A few areas of patchy fog will show up too.
Saturday, a few light showers will hang around, but cloudy skies is mostly what we'll see. Of course, temperatures will be the big story. Some of us will get into the 60s, but look at the wide variation between the upper 40s in Sanilac County to the mid 60s near the state line.
Saturday's record high is 61 degrees, so we'll be very close to that mark at Metro Airport in Romulus, where the official measurement is taken.
Sunday, there will be fewer showers around. And just about everyone will get into the 60s for highs. Sunday's record is 60 degrees, and that one will likely fall, after standing since 1881!
Monday will be wet with rain around, especially in the morning. Temperatures will start in the mid 50s at daybreak and slowly fall through the day. Winds will increase as well.
Temperatures continue falling through the week, but will stay above average through the entire 10-Day Forecast!
