Wind Advisory across metro Detroit extended until 4 a.m. Saturday

A Wind Advisory is in effect for all of Southeast Michigan until 4 a.m. Saturday.

Overnight, temperatures will fall only to the low 40s. Wind gusts will gradually weaken toward daybreak, but sustained winds will still be between 15-25 m.p.h. even after the gusts die down. Also, we may see a brief sprinkle of rain in the evening, while most of us will stay dry.

Saturday will be the pick day of the forecast. Skies will be mostly sunny. Temperatures will hit the mid 50s and despite breezy conditions, winds won’t be as bad as Friday’s gusts.

Sunday, cooler air will become more noticeable. Clouds will also be more prevalent, but we’ll be dry again. Highs will still be above average, in the mid 40s.

Then we return to our regularly scheduled winter. Temperatures will be hovering around average next week, but we’ve got a dry forecast except for a chance of light snow on Friday.
