Weather conditions improving in metro Detroit

Temps to fall later

DETROIT – Pockets of light snow linger through the lunch hour and the pesky wind will be with us all day.

Highs in the low and mid 30s with cool breezes NW 10-20 mph making it feel much colder and bringing a few lake effect snow showers even this afternoon.

Friday will be cool with morning lows in the teens and highs only near 30 degrees tomorrow.

We will stay with mostly cloudy skies as lake effect winds carry clouds and a few flurries throughout the day tomorrow. Warmer weather is working your way this weekend.

Weekend temps are getting into the 40s or warmer. Saturday will be breezy and partly to mostly sunny with highs in the low 40s and winds SW 10-20 mph.

Sunday highs will be flirting with 50 degrees for many. But, recent snowpack may make it hard to hit those high numbers. Either way, expect a weekend melt flooding some of your yards.
