Wonderful Wednesday with storms possible Thursday

DETROIT – A wonderful Wednesday on tap after a cool start in the upper 30s to low 40s. A nice mix of sun and high clouds through the early afternoon will help bring highs around Metro Detroit into the mid and even upper 60s.

And guess what east siders? Breezes blowing off the big lakes NE turning SE 5-12 mph means it will be cooler east but not by much. High clouds increase and thicken late afternoon and evening.

It will be a wet Thursday so keep that umbrella handy. We should see showers during the morning drive and some midday breaks in the action.

A warm front sliding through will help push temps to near 70 degrees, but it all depends on rain and cloud breaks.

Expect more rain and thundershowers through the afternoon and evening and the slight chance for a few storms to produce some dangerous wind and small hail.

Right now, much of SE Lower Michigan is under a Marginal Risk for Severe Weather Tomorrow which is the lowest risk category.

Friday may start off with a few showers, but it will be a nice finish near 60 degrees or slightly warmer with some sun returning later in the afternoon.
