Showers move out, morning fog moves in

DETROIT – We have a weak cold front yet to pass through Metro Detroit but it’s dry and won’t bring any more wet weather today.  The fog will lift by 8 or 9am. Morning temps in the upper 50s to low 60s as you head out, and afternoon sun will bump highs back into the low 80s.  It will get a bit breezy behind the frontal passage today WSW 5-15 mph with gusts over 20 mph at times.

Only slightly cooler air moves in for Friday and the weekend but you’ll barely notice it. Sunshine and highs in the upper 70s to low 80s tomorrow with low humidity and light winds making it a great way to end this shortened work and school week.

The weekend will be perfect for optimists. We will see tons of sun and 70s Saturday with a few of us seeing 80 degrees around SE Lower Michigan and Southern Ontario.

Things get more and more unsettled Sunday with a couple of rounds of rain and thundershowers early in the morning and again mid afternoon. This is not bad news as we need the rain even if it gets in the way of your outdoor plans Sunday afternoon. We have more shower and storm chances Monday and Tuesday.
