Metro Detroit weather: Severe storms possible Wednesday afternoon

DETROIT – Temperatures have been pleasant, and they won't change that much tomorrow.

But there will be enough going on above the surface to give us a day-long severe storm threat.

Overnight we'll remain dry and watch thunderstorms move in from the southwest very late toward sunrise. They'll be weakening as they move, but still could be strong. Overnight lows will be in the low 60s.

Wednesday forecast:

The bigger shot of severe storms will be in the second half of the day as a warm front creeps closer. Damaging winds and hail will be the largest threats. Highs will be in the mid-to-upper 70s.
