Warmer temperatures, more humidity coming to metro Detroit

DETROIT – Temperatures will start ramping up tomorrow, along with the humidity.  Eventually we'll have some decent rain/storm chances but not for the next 36 hours.

Tonight, we'll hold onto much of the cloud cover that invaded today.  Lows will be close to normal, in the mid 60s.

Tuesday, warmer temperatures and higher humidity will be noticeable.  Expect a mix of clouds and sun with a high in the mid-to-upper 80s.

Last Friday's rain didn't make a huge dent in our rainfall deficit.  We're still more than 3 inches behind the curve since May 1st.   So Wednesday's storm chances are still desperately desired.  Expect scattered afternoon thunderstorms.  Not everyone will get them though.  The heat WILL be for everyone though.  Highs will hit their warmest of the forecast, in the low 90s.  Humidity will be high, so our heat index readings will likely be in the mid 90s!

Thursday a storm is possible, but chances aren't that great.  Highs will be in the upper 80s with high humidity remaining.

Friday brings our most likely and widest coverage of thunderstorms.  Highs will be slightly cooler, in the mid 80s.  But it will still be muggy.

Beyond that, a nice and dry weekend awaits.
