Metro Detroit weather begins cool, temps will rise to 80s

DETROIT – A cooler and comfortable start to a mid to late July day with temps in the 50s and 60s as you head out.

Some morning clouds will give way to more sunshine on your Tuesday with highs in the low 80s. Humidity will be under control and winds ENE 5-10 mph.

Winds shift blowing in from the south Wednesday and temps will begin to warm. We will be well into the 80s but a deck of high clouds could limit highs. Those clouds will be part of a storm that is a near miss for us midweek.

The warm and muggy air arrives Thursday through Sunday. We will have a shot at 90 at least each day moving forward with scattered storms coming and going with the heat of the afternoon. The temps during those days depend on thunderstorms which could keep things a bit cooler.
