Next heat wave on horizon

What an incredible weekend! The drier air that came in Friday night made for very comfortable temperatures this weekend (yes, it was still warm, but much easier to take with the low humidity).

With overnight lows dropping back to near the long-term averages, we could open the windows at night and let some of that cooler air in for some great sleeping weather. We’ll have one more relatively comfortable day ahead, and then get ready for the next steam bath.

The partly cloudy skies that developed Sunday afternoon will become mostly clear after midnight. Lows will be in the low 60s (16 degree Celsius for our Canadian friends), and even cooler in rural areas away from the big cities.

We may not see a single cloud Monday, but if you do, don’t worry; it’s probably just lost. Highs will be in the mid-80s (29 degrees Celsius), with continued low humidity.

Monday night will be mostly clear with lows in the mid-60s (18 degrees Celsius).

Tuesday will be mostly sunny and hot, with highs in the upper 80s to near 90 degree (32 degrees Celsius), and the humidity will start ramping back up during the afternoon. The nighttime will see mostly clear, warm and muggy weather, with lows in the low 70s (21 degrees Celsius).

It will be partly cloudy, hot and humid Wednesday, with highs in the low to mid-90s (33-34 degrees Celsius). Later at night it will be warm and muggy, with lows in the low 70s (22 degrees Celsius).

Partly cloudy skies will stick around Thursday as the steamy weather continue. Scattered thunderstorms are certainly possible, but the exact coverage isn’t certain yet. Highs will be in the low to mid-90s (33-34 degrees Celsius). At night, it will be warm and muggy, with lows in the low to mid-70s (22-23 degrees Celsius).

Friday brings a better chance of widespread thunderstorms, and boy do we need this rain. Highs will be in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees (32 degrees Celcius). Thunderstorms will continue Friday night, with lows in the low 70s (21 degrees Celsius).

The timing of all of Friday’s steamy and stormy weather moving out is uncertain, but right now it appears that we have some shower and thunderstorm chances on Saturday, at least in the morning. Highs will be in the mid-80s (30 degrees Celsius).

Partly cloudy, cooler, and less humid weather will move in next Sunday, with highs in the low 80s (28 degrees Celsius).
