DETROIT – Here comes round two.
The 4 Live Radar is much quieter Wednesday evening, but we're tracking a line of thunderstorms that is in parts of Wisconsin and Illinois. That line will weaken as it moves east, but still should bring our second round of storms after midnight.
Expect to see some scattered showers beyond that line that will be around in spots through the first two-thirds of Thursday.
Temperatures will drop to the low and mid-70s Wednesday night. Humidity will still be high.
Thursday's high temperatures will only rise to the mid-80s, but heat indices will be in the low 90s in our Metro and South Zones. Only slightly lower numbers will show up in our West and North Zones.
A cold front that crosses the area on Thursday night will drop humidity somewhat for Friday and Saturday, but only from tropical to muggy. We’ll also get a break from the rain on Friday, too. Highs will be in the mid-80s, and heat indices should stop short of 90.
Saturday we’ll watch for shower and storm chances in the morning and in the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid- and upper 70s, still with noticeable humidity.
But the big payoff is on Sunday, which will have cooler air, lower humidity and plenty of sunshine. Highs will be in the low 70s.
