Foggy Friday start across Metro Detroit

Weekend rain chances

Patchy fog around Metro Detroit this morning, and Dense Fog Advisories to our West will make some travel a little tricky this morning.

It’s cooler, but still a very summery day with low 80s and a moderate mugginess. Rain chances hold off all day and we may see a few showers sneak in from the south and southeast later tonight.

Rain and thundershowers will move in Saturday morning and conditions stay on the warm and muggy side. Rain showers will provide relief, but it could be a soaker of a Saturday between 9am and 5pm. Some areas could see a good drenching and hopefully it’s more on and off so we can get our outdoor plans completed.

Sunday will be the better of the two weekend days with sun returning and highs only in the low to mid 70s. The humidity and heat take a break for a while as most of the week ahead will be in the 50s for lows and 70s for highs. Shower and storm chances race through quickly on Tuesday afternoon. Make sure you download the Local4Casters app with radar and storm updates, so you’re prepared all summer long.
