Metro Detroit weather forecast: Cool start in the upper 40s

A cool start in the 40s for most but dry conditions will greet you as you head out and about on this Tuesday morning. Rain chances today are north of I-69 and very light and scattered this afternoon. Again, most of Metro Detroit will be dry and clear with sunshine mixed with a few clouds and highs near 70 degrees. The pesky breezes will kick up here and there SW 10-20 mph gusting near 30 mph at times.

Wednesday will be another wet day with scattered afternoon rain and thundershowers. The clouds in our current cool pool of air could produce some very small hail. Highs will be impacted with the showers coming and going topping off in the mid to maybe upper 60s. Winds will be lighter SE 5-10 mph.

Rain chances continue on Thursday, and Friday as our rain maker will stall over the Eastern Great Lakes bringing in Atlantic Moisture for several days. Most of the rain Wednesday through Friday or Saturday will be light with occasional showers dropping more moderate showers here and there. Temps with the rain around will stay in the mid to upper 60s. Right now, models are leaning more and more towards rain chances Saturday afternoon for the game at The Big House.
