Metro Detroit weather forecast: Light showers with temps in the 40s

Some light, lingering showers early this morning with temps in the 40s and a bit of a breeze.

So, the roads will be slow and damp with gradually improving conditions through the late morning and afternoon. East siders may see showers lingering into the lunch hour and areas north of M 59 have a chance at a few lake effect rain showers even this afternoon. Overcast skies will thin out with only mostly cloudy skies at best and highs in the low 50s with cool breezes NW 7-17 mph with a few stronger gusts.

Most of us will wake up in the upper 30s to low 40s Saturday with clouds being the big variable and the more morning clouds, the warmer we stay. Cooler air sticks around through the start of your weekend mainly in the upper 40s and low 50s Saturday with partly cloudy skies and a few light showers again closer to the big lakes up in the Thumb Region.

We will likely see highs rebound a bit around Metro Detroit on Sunday into the low 60s which is right where we should be this time of year… finally! We may see a quick shower Monday morning and then dry until late Wednesday. As you know, the Fall Season brings constant changes so, make sure you have the Local4Casters app bringing the weather with you.
