Metro Detroit weather forecast: Unseasonably warm Tuesday with near record high temps

DETROIT – Get ready for a nice and warm Fall day here in Metro Detroit and it all starts with mild temps on your Tuesday morning. Clouds around early and temps in the upper 40s and low 50s as you head out. Those clouds could bring a few early morning rain and isolated thundershowers across Livingston County moving NE into the Thumb. But then, we will see milky skies with hazy sunshine and highs heading into the 70s as warmer winds increase SSW 5-15 mph. Some of our South Zone, toward the Ohio Border, may push into the upper 70s to near 80 degrees with just a bit more consistent sunshine.

Rain showers are moving Wednesday as our SE Lower Michigan temps stay mild. Scattered, light showers possible mid morning and then rain and thundershowers will be a bit heavier into the afternoon. The heaviest rains will come around any thundershowers mid afternoon and into the evening hours. Depending on rain breaks, highs will try to head into the mid and upper 60s. If we keep the rain at bay for long enough… we could see another 70 degrees Wednesday.

Some pockets of heavy rain are likely going to hang around overnight into early Thursday before clearing during the morning. We should get back down to normal or average in the 50s for a while starting Thursday with cooler breezes NW 10-20 mph. The weekend ahead looks dry and seasonable upper 50s for now.  As you know, the Fall Season brings constant changes so, make sure you have the Local4Casters app bringing the weather with you.
