Metro Detroit forecast: Stretch of dry weather ahead

Highs in the upper 50s

DETROIT – A few morning clouds keeping temps on the manageable side in the low to mid 40s as you head out and about on this Friday morning. Those clouds will decrease and slowly move out along a cold front, leaving tons of afternoon sun across Metro Detroit. The air behind this cold front will settle in and keep highs in the mid to maybe upper 50s this afternoon with light winds NNW 5-10 mph.

Your weekend will be fabulous! We will see morning lows back down in the upper 30s and low 40s back on the cooler side compared to most of this week. Both Saturday and Sunday afternoon highs will be near 60 degrees or warmer with light winds WSW 5-10 mph.

Most of next week will also be dry and warm. Well, warmer than average which is in the mid 50s. Instead, Metro Detroit will enjoy more of the upper 50s and low 60s and dry all week. There’s a dry cold front blowing through on Election Day, but it should be rain free. We could always use a nice Fall rain, but don’t see any next week.  As you know, the Fall Season brings constant changes so, make sure you have the Local4Casters app bringing the weather with you.
