Metro Detroit weather forecast: Temps start in the 30s with highs in the 50s later

A cool start to the week, a cool start to your Monday with temperatures in the mid 30s in most of Metro Detroit, while some areas are slightly cooler in the suburbs. Sunshine today will help boost afternoon highs into the mid and upper 50s with lighter winds than we saw all weekend SW 5-12 mph.

Another very mild day tomorrow with morning lows in the upper 30s and afternoon highs in the mid 50s. We should see increasing high clouds through the afternoon and if they are delayed, we may see some neighborhoods near 60 degrees Tuesday. Again, it all depends on the cloud timing. Rain showers will move in late Tuesday, after dinner into the late evening. These showers will be very light and perfectly timed as they will be gone by Wednesday morning’s sunrise.

Wednesday and Thursday temps will be very familiar in the mid to upper 50s with a nice mix of sun and clouds. Friday looks to be the warmest of the week as highs soar into the mid 60s! Record high Friday is 68°, so it may be close to record territory. A storm is brewing Saturday with mainly rain here in SE Lower Michigan and Southern Ontario. Temps will be cooling quickly and the winds will be gusty. We’ll keep you posted if the storm takes any twists or turns.
