Sunny, fall day on tap Tuesday across Metro Detroit
Highs in the mid 50s
DETROIT – It’s a good morning across Metro Detroit with temps in the mid 30s to low 40s as you head out. Skies again today will fill in with high clouds with occasional breaks leaving us only partly sunny during the afternoon with highs in the mid to upper 50s, still well above normal or average. A cold front approaching will weaken and limit any rain chances to our North Zone into the Thumb Region overnight with just a few isolated, light shower chances before sunrise tomorrow.
Wednesday will start with a mix of sun and clouds becoming mostly sunny and mild with highs again into the mid and upper 50s if not a touch warmer. Thursday will be even warmer into the low 60s around the heart of Metro Detroit with tons of sunshine and light winds.
Friday looks to be the warmest of the week as highs will be near a record high which is 68°. Model data suggests mid 60s in SE Lower Michigan, so we may be in, but just shy of record territory. Skies will be nice and sunny all day with clouds and breezes picking up Friday Night.
A colder storm will blow in Saturday morning with very blustery conditions as we transition from warm to cold. We should see mainly rain during the day with a few spots possibly seeing some wet snowflakes mixing in. Saturday night brings more rain and snow chances as temps continue to drop. We will have breezy and cold conditions Sunday with scattered shower chances and temps mainly in the 30s here in SE Lower Michigan and Southern Ontario.
