Driving to or from Michigan on Wednesday? Early is better than later if you're trying to avoid slick roads from a wintery mix headed for the Mitten.
Local 4 meteorologist Brandon Roux expects pockets of precipitation to start around 10 or 11 a.m., followed by a storm to hit Metro Detroit around 5 p.m. on Wednesday and continue through the evening. That's a warning to folks traveling for Thanksgiving after work, and for anyone heading to Michigan Wednesday night.
The rain/snow mix is expected to continue off and on until 8 a.m. Thanksgiving morning, which is great news for anyone heading out to the America's Thanksgiving Parade by Art Van. The parade steps off in Midtown at 8:50 a.m. on Thursday and will reach Downtown around 9:30 a.m.
