Metro Detroit weather forecast: Rain and snow mix this morning
Could see inch of snow in some spots
Radar is active this morning with a wintry mix moving in from the southwest. Dry air over Metro Detroit will battle off the rain and snow for a little while, but showers by 6 or 7am will likely start as snow showers. Early morning travel will be tricky, especially in our South and West Zones. The changeover to rain today may be delayed until the early afternoon which means snow and sleet possible through the morning and we could see an inch of snow in some spots, especially along and north of I-69 through the late morning and early afternoon. Again, rain showers should take over and dominate the afternoon as highs get into the upper 30s.
Thanksgiving morning will be a little drizzly through 7am and the becoming dryer through the mid morning Thursday. Warmer air is pumping in tomorrow and skies remain mostly cloudy through your Thanksgiving Day as we see highs surging into the mid and upper 40s.
A few very light rain and/or snow showers likely on Friday midday and afternoon for all of you shoppers heading out. Highs will try to climb into the low 40s as models indicate, but with clouds and moisture moving in from the WNW, it may stay in the mid to upper 30s for a while. The weekend looks dry with highs in the 40s. To stay ahead of the Fall swings and changes, make sure you have the Local4Casters app and take the weather with you.
