Re-freezing likely Saturday night as mercury plunges

Sunday will be partly sunny, cold

DETROITA WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY has been canceled for Detroit and all of Southeast Michigan!

Great news! Snow has come to an end or was becoming more scattered before 8am ET. This will allow road crews to tackle road conditions earlier, and snow totals will be lower than a week ago.

Re-freezing is likely Saturday night as the mercury plunges. Another Siberian Express is on the way, and overnight lows will be in the middle and upper teens. Skies will be mostly to partly cloudy.

Sunday will be partly sunny and cold. Highs will only be near 20 degrees; over 15 degrees below average.

Monday will be super-cold for late fall. Lows will be near zero degrees in the morning; even below zero. Wind chills will approach -10 or -15 degrees. The afternoon will be mostly sunny and bitterly cold with daytime temps in the low teens and wind chills near zero.

Tuesday will not be as cold, but morning lows will be in the single digits. Afternoon highs will be near 25 degrees under mostly sunny skies.
