DETROIT – A high wind warning is in effect Tuesday night for all of southeast Michigan and lasts until 4 a.m. Wednesday.
Winds will increase in intensity behind a cold front Tuesday evening. Expect gusts to reach up to 60 mph, which will be enough to cause power outages, tree and limb damage and difficulty driving.

Temperatures hit the mid-40s Tuesday evening, but they'll crash below freezing by daybreak. Lows will be in the upper 20s to around 30 degrees, which will lead to icy spots from the leftover slush from Monday morning's snow.
Winds will relax late Tuesday night through Wednesday. Despite some early sunshine, clouds will increase as temperatures rise to the mid-40s by evening. Expect some rain to develop later in the day.
Thursday will feature a 40-degree high (in name only). It will happen early, and then temperatures will fall through the 30s, with a mix of precipitation expected.
It’s back to the deep freeze this weekend. Morning lows will be in the teens. Highs will be in the 20s and low 30s, but 40s and rain return for the King Holiday on Monday.
