Metro Detroit Weather: Snow showers, lows in the 20s

Average highs this time of year are near 40 degrees.  But we won't get there until the end of the weekend.

Tonight, a few snow showers will move through in the evening, then again close to daybreak.  This shouldn’t give us any measurable accumulation.  Overnight lows will be on either side of 20 degrees.  Winds won't be as brisk as yesterday though.

Friday will feature a few morning flurries, but mainly dry conditions with limited sunshine.  Highs will stay below normal, barely reaching 30 degrees.

The last of our cold stretch arrives on Saturday.  Highs will be, again, below average… in the mid 30s.  But we’ll see plenty of sunshine throughout the day.

Warmer air arrives by the end of the weekend.  Sunday’s highs will get close to 50 degrees.  But rain will arrive late in the day.

Our highest chance of precipitation arrives Monday night into early Tuesday.  We’ll see plenty of rain during that stretch, before windy, brighter and cooler conditions take over midweek.
