Metro Detroit weather: Soggy start with temps in the 60s later

Morning showers are ending leaving behind soggy conditions to start your Tuesday around Metro Detroit and a slower commute is in your future due to some slick streets. A weak cool front is passing through dropping temps into the upper 40s to mid 50s as you head out. We will get some sun back today mixed with cloud cover at times and highs will sneak back into the mid and upper 60s with winds SW 10-20 mph gusting 20-30 mph at times.

We should see some great weather Wednesday as we take a small step backwards in temps. We will start cool in the 30s early tomorrow, but sunshine will help us warm to near 60 degrees with lighter winds W 5-12 mph.

A cloudy Thursday with a slight chance for a few afternoon or evening showers, but they don’t look to heavy or long lived. We may escape without seeing a drop with highs again in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees. Good Friday looks nice and dry with partly sunny skies and highs in the low 60s.

It gets a little warmer this Easter Weekend as highs head into the low 70s, but there’s a big question mark on rain chances. Right now, models are not in agreement bringing a chance of showers late Saturday into early Sunday. We’ll keep you posted as we get closer.
