Metro Detroit weather: Tons of sun and 70s, but allergens kicking up

Metro Detroit will continue the beautiful weather streak on this Monday with tons of sun and 70s, just watch out for allergens kicking up.

Morning temps in the low and mid 40s under mostly clear skies will quickly warm into the 60s by lunch and some will see lower 70s for highs. Winds will be coming from ENE 5-12 mph and that means east siders may stay in the mid 60s and those along the shoreline of Lake Huron may not get out of the upper 50s due to that cooling breeze. Still, a gorgeous day with sunshine beaming all day.

Allergy sufferers will feel pollen in the air from cottonwoods and mold.

Tuesday will be very similar temperature wise, but we do have more clouds rolling in for tomorrow. Highs should still take a stab at upper 60s to low 70s under partly cloudy skies. There is no rain in the forecast leaking from those high clouds and it may stay dry until Thursday.

Wednesday will be warm and only partly sunny with a few showers likely in the Saginaw Valley during the afternoon. Those showers hold off here around Metro Detroit for another day or day and a half. We have a chance at hitting 80 degrees before the clouds completely fill in on your Hump Day. Rain chances increase on Thursday and that will impact high temps.

We may see warm 70s to near 80 degrees before the rain and isolated thundershowers hit, although timing in a bit uncertain this far out. You can always stay ahead of these Spring showers with our Local4Casters app.
