Thursday morning will be mild and partly to mostly cloudy. Temps start in the low 60s. Most areas will be dry for the beginning of the commute to work and school, but a cold front brings showers later.

It will be warm, again, with highs in the low 70s Thursday afternoon. Midday and early afternoon (before 4 p.m. ET) showers arrive and develop. They will race from west to east across the region. The National Weather Service has much of Southeast Michigan in the Marginal Risk category of severe weather. There's a very slight chance of very heavy downpours, dangerous lightning and damaging wind, especially between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. ET.

Thursday evening will have scattered showers with temps dropping through the 60s to the 50s just after dinnertime, quickly.

Thursday night will be chillier with mostly to partly cloudy skies. Overnight lows will be in the low 40s.

Friday will be partly sunny and cooler. Highs will be in the middle 60s.

Saturday will be even cooler with scattered showers. Highs will be near 60 degrees.

Sunday has a better chance of rain. Highs will be in the low and mid 60s.

Monday will have leftover morning showers. The afternoon will be drier with temps in the low and mid 60s.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be sunnier but cooler. Highs in the upper 50s.
