Metro Detroit weather: Below average temperatures ahead

Chance of rain later this week

DETROIT – Temperatures will soon feel more like the beginning of April rather than the start of May.

On Monday night, expect to see a few light showers during the evening, and then generally dry conditions overnight. It will be windy and cool, with gusts between 30-40 mph in the evening. Overnight lows will be falling to the low and mid-40s.

Tuesday will feature another round of light rain, mainly before noon. Then we'll be cloudy and breezy for the rest of the day, with only an outside chance of a shower. Highs will hit the low 50s in our Metro Zone, but most other locations won't make it out of the 40s. Hit up our 4ZONE Forecast page for those numbers.

Wednesday will be our warmest day, but it won't be much of a rise. We'll barely get to 60 degrees under partly cloudy skies.

Beyond that, we'll see a wet finish to the work week on Friday, but when the rain starts and ends is still in question. We might see some showers both Thursday and Saturday, depending on the track of the low pressure system that will be responsible for the rain.

Temperatures will be below normal for the entire 10-day forecast.
