DETROIT – A flood watch remains in effect for most of southeast Michigan through Friday evening. Expect 1-3 inches of rain with highest totals on the east and south sides of our area.
On Friday night, rain will continue more or less continuously through the night. The rain will be heavy at times. Winds will be brisk out of the north at 15-20 mph.
Rain will continue Friday. There might be some breaks during the day, especially in our West Zone, but they won't last long. Look for the widespread rain to end in the evening, with some scattered nighttime showers.
Temperatures will remain in the 40s from Thursday night through Friday and into Saturday morning.
Saturday will see more organized rain return that will end by evening. Expect highs to barely touch 50 degrees.
Sunday will bring drier conditions, a mix of sun and clouds and warmer temperatures. Highs will reach the mid-50s, but that’s still 10 degrees below average for this time in May.
